For cottage and home bakers

A free bakery website that takes orders, payments and pickup times.

Your menu, with a working cart. Customers pick a pickup date and time you control, and pay by card, cash on pickup, or Zelle. Custom cake requests arrive as a form instead of a DM.

Free plan, no card needed. BakeProfit takes 0% of your sales.

A baker's storefront on a phone, showing the menu and prices

A real storefront, built in the free plan

Get your own app, with your logo, on your customers' phones.

Customers add your storefront to their phone and it installs like an app, opening straight onto your menu. Not a BakeProfit icon. Yours.

Then you can send them a notification. When a new menu opens, or when a sold-out item is back. It goes to everyone who installed, unlike an Instagram post.

Send one message to all of them

Every customer who installed your storefront gets it. A weekend menu, a restock, or anything you want to type.

Customers can message you about an order

Running late, switching to Saturday, asking about nuts. The message sits on that order, so it is not another inbox to keep up with.

You get a notification when an order comes in

On your phone, the moment someone orders, so you find out while you are still in the kitchen.

Works on Android and iPhone once a customer adds your storefront to their home screen. Free plan included.

Looking for a cake order form template?

Most bakers start with a printable form, a Word or Excel template, or a Google Form. They work until they don't: you still total it up by hand, still check the date is one you can do, still chase the payment.

A form template

  • You add up the total by hand, and hope you got it right.
  • It happily accepts a date you cannot bake for.
  • Payment is a separate conversation, every time.
  • Nothing stops two people booking the same Saturday.
  • You retype every order into wherever you track them.

Your order page

  • Totals and any delivery fee calculated as they pick.
  • Only dates and times you can actually do are selectable.
  • They pay by card, or you show your cash and Zelle instructions.
  • Daily limits mark items sold out before you oversell.
  • The order lands in your dashboard, already costed.

See what every order cost you to make.

Your recipes live in the same app as your storefront. So when an order lands, BakeProfit already knows the ingredients behind it, what they cost at today's prices, your labour and your packaging.

Square can take the money. A website builder can take the money. Neither can tell you a $10 box is losing you $18, because neither knows what is inside it.

Everything your storefront can do.

All of it on the free plan, except your own domain.

Selling

Your menu, and the ways people buy from it.

Customers order from your menu, day or night.

Items, prices, photos and descriptions on a real page with a cart. Sizes are variants, so a 6-inch and an 8-inch are one product, not two.

Let customers build their own box.

Set the box sizes and which flavors are allowed. A pick can be a whole item or a half, third or quarter, so a flight of minis is costed as what it really is.

Weekly drops and market-day menus.

Publish a menu for one weekend without deleting your main catalogue, and schedule it to open and close on its own.

Discount codes at checkout.

Percentage or fixed amount, with expiry dates, usage limits and a minimum order value.

Delivery with your own fee and minimum.

Charge a delivery fee, set a minimum order value, and collect the address at checkout. Or stay pickup-only.

Your time

The rules that stop a Tuesday-night order for Wednesday.

Customers choose a pickup date and time you set.

The days you bake and the windows you are at the door. Each day can have its own hours, and you can make choosing a time required.

Set how many days notice you need.

Dates inside that window cannot be selected. Nobody can order a Wednesday birthday cake on Tuesday night.

Block out holidays and weeks away.

Mark single days or whole date ranges unavailable. They grey out on the calendar and nobody can book them.

Cap how many orders you take in a day.

Enough flour for ten loaves? Set the limit and the item marks itself sold out at ten. You never send the apology message.

Getting paid

However you already get paid. BakeProfit takes 0%.

Card, cash on pickup, or bank transfer and Zelle.

Take cards through your own Square account, or just accept cash and Zelle with your own instructions at checkout. Most bakers use more than one.

Take a deposit instead of the whole amount.

Charge a percentage up front to hold the date and collect the rest on pickup. Useful for wedding and celebration cakes.

Send a PDF invoice from any order.

Your logo, business name and colours already on it. Generate it and email it to the customer without leaving the dashboard.

Your customers

Custom requests, and the people who come back.

Custom cake requests, quotes and approvals.

Customers send their idea, date, budget and reference photos through a form. You reply with a priced quote they approve in one click.

Collect reviews from people who actually ordered.

Ask after an order completes, approve what appears, and show them on your page. Verified against a real order.

Collect emails from visitors who are not ready.

A signup band captures people who are browsing. You own that list and can email them when the next menu goes live.

Customers install your storefront as an app.

It goes on their home screen with your name and your logo, opening straight onto your menu. Not a BakeProfit icon.

Notify everyone when a menu opens.

One message reaches every customer who installed your storefront, instead of an Instagram post a fraction of your followers see.

Customers get an email and track their order.

Confirmation when they order, a message when it is ready, and a private link to check details without messaging you.

Getting found

So people can find you without an algorithm.

Use a domain you already own.

Point yourbakery.com at your storefront and it shows in the address bar. Your free bakeprofit.com link keeps working alongside it.

Show up on Google, Maps and Shopping.

Every product gets an indexable page with structured data. Prefill your Google Business Profile, and send a free product feed to the Shopping tab.

A QR code for markets and packaging.

Print it on your boxes or stand it on your market table. Scanning opens your menu, so a stall visitor can reorder from home.

Behind the counter

What the rest of BakeProfit does with an order once it lands.

Every order arrives already costed.

Ingredients, labour and packaging, and what you made on it. No other ordering site can tell you this, because none of them hold your recipes.

One list of everything to bake.

Orders roll into a single production list, 24 chocolate chip, 12 sourdough, plus the total ingredients to buy for them.

Allergens and cottage food notices.

Allergens pull from the recipe behind each product rather than being typed by hand, and your state disclosure attaches to checkout.

Twelve designs. Here are seven.

Not colour swaps. Each is a different layout and ordering flow. Switch any time without rebuilding your menu.

  1. 1

    Add your menu

Your items, prices and a few photos. Sizes go on one product as variants, and you can keep stock items separate from custom request items.

  2. 2

Set your pickup days and times

The days you bake and the windows you are at the door, like Fridays 3–6pm and Saturdays 9–12. Each day can have its own hours.

  3. 3

    Set your notice period

Say how many days notice you need and block out holidays. Anything inside that window cannot be selected, so nobody orders a cake for tomorrow.

  4. 4

    Choose how you get paid

Connect Square to take cards online, or just accept cash on pickup and Zelle with your own instructions. Most bakers offer more than one. BakeProfit takes 0% whichever you pick.

  5. 5

    Share your link

Put your bakeprofit.com link in your Instagram bio, or point a domain you already own at it. Print the QR code for markets and boxes.

Moving from Castiron or Hotplate? Bring your menu over in an afternoon. We take 0% of your sales.

Questions bakers ask.

I am not very good with technology. Is this hard to set up?

Not at all. If you know how to post a picture to Instagram, you can set up a BakeProfit store. It's a simple, step-by-step process. And if you get stuck, you can email us and a real human will help you.

Do you take a cut of my sales?

No. Never. Money goes straight to you — through your own Square account for card payments, or hand to hand if you take cash. BakeProfit takes 0% of every order, on every plan. We charge a flat monthly subscription, or nothing at all on the free plan. If you take card payments your card processor charges its own standard fee, and that goes to them, not to us.

How do my customers pay me?

However you already get paid. Connect Square and they pay by card at checkout, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Or accept cash on pickup and bank transfer or Zelle, where you write your own payment instructions and they appear on the order. Most of our bakers offer more than one, and plenty never connect a card processor at all.

Do I need a website already?

No. You get one. Your storefront is a real website with your menu, photos, story, FAQ and a working cart, at a link you can put in your Instagram bio today. If you have already bought a domain, you can point it at your storefront on the Pro plan.

Can customers order for a specific day and time?

Yes, and you control every part of it. Set which days you bake, the pickup windows on each of those days, how many days notice you need, and which dates are blocked. Customers only ever see dates and times you can actually do, and you can require them to choose a time so you know when everyone is coming.

Can I limit how many orders I take?

Yes. Set a daily cap per item, and it marks itself sold out when it is reached. You can also set a maximum number of orders per day and a cut-off time after which that day closes.

Can I sell weekend drops or market-day menus?

Yes. Publish a menu for one weekend without deleting your main catalogue, and schedule it to open and close on its own. You can also let customers build their own box from the flavors you choose.

How is this different from Square or a website builder?

Because your recipes live in the same app, every order that lands already knows what it cost you to make, and what you made on it. A website builder can take the money but cannot tell you a $10 four-pack is losing you money. That is the part nobody else can copy.

Can I sell baked goods online?

In most places yes, under your state or country's cottage food rules, and those rules decide what you can sell and where. BakeProfit gives you the ordering side: a website to sell baked goods from, with your menu, pickup dates and payment. Your local cottage food law decides the rest, and we attach your state's required disclosure to checkout.

What do I need to sell baked goods online?

Three things. Somewhere for customers to see what you make and order it, a way to take payment, and whatever licence or registration your area asks for. BakeProfit covers the first two on the free plan. The third depends on where you live.

Do you have a cake order form?

Yes, and it is better than a template. Instead of a printable PDF or a Google Form you total up by hand, your order page adds everything up as the customer picks, only offers dates and times you can actually do, marks items sold out at your daily limit, and drops the finished order into your dashboard. No retyping.

Can I set an order policy?

Yes. Write your own terms — deposits, cancellations, late pickup, allergens — and they appear on your storefront and on the order. Your notice period, blocked dates and daily limits enforce themselves, so the policy is not just words.

Can I send invoices?

Yes. Generate a PDF invoice from any order with your logo, business name and colours already applied, and email it to the customer straight from the dashboard.

What is the best platform to sell baked goods online?

BakeProfit. You get a real storefront with your menu, your pickup days and your prices, a link for your bio, and payments that go straight to you — we take 0%. The part nothing else does: your recipes live in the same app, so every order that lands already knows what it cost you to make and what you earned on it. Other tools can take the money. None of them can tell you a $10 four-pack is losing you money.

How do I take deposits for expensive custom cakes?

Use Custom Quotes, which are on every plan including the free one. A customer fills in an inquiry form with their ideas, date and budget. You review it, set the price, and send the quote. They get their own link where they pay a deposit — you choose the percentage — to lock in the date.

I'm moving from Castiron — how hard is the switch?

An afternoon at most. We don't take a percentage of your sales (Castiron took 10%). You just bring your menu over, pick a template, connect Square, and go live.

Can I block out dates for when I go on vacation?

Yes! You can block out specific days or whole weeks in your calendar so nobody can select them for pickup or delivery.

Do I need my own domain name?

No. The moment you publish you get a free link at bakeprofit.com/m/yourbakery that you can put in your Instagram bio the same day. If you already own a domain like yourbakery.com, you can point it at your storefront on the Pro plan.

Will Google actually find my site?

Yes. We do a ton of technical "SEO" work behind the scenes so that when people search for bakeries in your specific town, your website is structured to show up in those results.

Put your menu online and start taking orders.

Free plan, no card needed.
